Free shipping only applies to items of the same type. This is due to different shipping methods being required to ship the items separately. For example, you have $200 worth of dry goods (fish food, test kits, lighting, pumps, filters, etc.) in your cart and $50 worth of livestock (fish, corals or inverts). The order qualifies for free ground shipping as it contains over $30 of dry goods, but the livestock total amount is not over $250, so this order requires paid Next Day Air shipping since the livestock ships separately from the dry goods.
All live items are shipped by UPS through UPS Next Day Air with Signature Required, Tuesday - Friday Delivery typically before noon (by end of day for remote areas). Certain remote areas are delivered later in the day.

Coral Shipping
We use specific packing means necessary to ensure the safe arrival of your live coral. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead on Arrival), please follow the instructions on our Returns & Refunds page. Gingerbread Tropical Fish & Coral Inc. cannot be held responsible for mechanical or weather delays that may cause your UPS shipment to arrive late. We can hold corals for up to one week once payment has been received, unless other arrangements are agreed upon. Beyond that, we are not responsible for the coral, and cannot guarantee replacement of the same coral purchased. We are not responsible for incorrect addresses provided by the buyer.
Arrive Alive Guarantee
We guarantee that all livestock will arrive alive and as described. In the event of DOA (Dead On Arrival) we must be contacted within 2 hours of package delivery (UPS posted time). More details can be found on our Returns & Refunds page. BUYER MUST BE AT LOCATION TO RECEIVE DELIVERY (Verified with Signature.), NOT DOING SO VOIDS ALL DOA COVERAGE. No exceptions or excuses, no credit without photos. No refunds or returns on Live purchases. Verified DOA’s will be fully credited towards future purchases (minus any shipping charges). Gingerbread Tropical Fish & Coral is not responsible for carrier delays, lost packages or other acts beyond our control. All orders are shipped to your address. We recommend you hold at the facility if possible as this is the best as it has the best results.
